Comprehensive Breast Surgery Services
We offer a wide range of surgical options tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient. Our services include:
• Breast-Conserving Surgery (Lumpectomy):
A surgical procedure that removes the cancerous tissue while preserving as much of the breast as possible.
This option is often used in conjunction with radiation therapy to effectively treat breast cancer.
• Mastectomy:
Comprehensive removal of one or both breasts to treat or prevent breast cancer.
We offer various mastectomy techniques, including:
o Total (Simple) Mastectomy: Removal of the entire breast, including the nipple and areola.
o Skin-Sparing Mastectomy:
Removal of the breast tissue while preserving most of the breast skin, allowing for immediate reconstruction.
o Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy:
Removal of the breast tissue while preserving the nipple, areola, and most of the breast skin, combined with immediate reconstruction.
• Reconstructive Breast Surgery:
We offer a variety of reconstructive options to restore the breast’s appearance after surgery, including:
o Implant-Based Reconstruction:
Use of silicone or saline implants to recreate the breast shape.
o Autologous (Flap) Reconstruction:
Using tissue from another part of the body, such as the abdomen or back, to rebuild the breast.
o Oncoplastic Surgery:
Combining cancer surgery with plastic surgery techniques to preserve or improve the breast’s appearance.
• Prophylactic Mastectomy:
Preventive removal of one or both breasts for individuals at high risk of developing breast cancer, such as those with a strong family history or BRCA gene mutations.
• Axillary Lymph Node Surgery: Evaluation and removal of lymph nodes in the underarm area to assess the spread of breast cancer, including:
o Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy:
Removal of the first few lymph nodes that drain the area around the breast tumor.
o Axillary Lymph Node Dissection:
Removal of additional lymph nodes if cancer is found in the sentinel nodes.
